Ma meilleure amie d'enfance vit en \u00c9thiopie. Ma premi\u00e8re pens\u00e9e a donc \u00e9t\u00e9 d'aller sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux pour prendre de ses nouvelles. Heureusement, elle s'est d\u00e9clar\u00e9e en s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Malheureusement, environ cent quatre-vingt-neuf personnes ont perdu la vie ce jour-l\u00e0. Les jours suivant la nouvelle tragique, les faits r\u00e9els ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 faire surface concernant l'avion Boeing 737 qui s'est \u00e9cras\u00e9 ce jour-l\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>Dans cet article, j'aimerais approfondir ce qui s'est r\u00e9ellement pass\u00e9 ce jour-l\u00e0, si possible, bien que je ne puisse peut-\u00eatre pas donner les raisons techniques de l'accident.<\/p>\n<p>J'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 obs\u00e9d\u00e9e par les crashes a\u00e9riens parce que je crois que les avions sont l'un des moyens de transport les plus s\u00fbrs. Chaque fois qu'il y a un crash a\u00e9rien, je veux toujours savoir ce qui s'est pass\u00e9 et pourquoi c'est arriv\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>J'ai lu de nombreux articles et \u00e9cout\u00e9 de nombreuses \u00e9missions d\u00e9taillant la cause du crash du Boeing 737 Max. Le New York Times a publi\u00e9 un long expos\u00e9 r\u00e9sumant ce qui s'est pass\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>En un mot, ce qui a r\u00e9ellement caus\u00e9 le crash du 737 Max peut simplement \u00eatre identifi\u00e9 comme une erreur logicielle inoffensive et un manque de formation des pilotes sur ce nouveau changement logiciel mineur.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours de mes 15 ann\u00e9es d'exp\u00e9rience dans le d\u00e9veloppement logiciel, j'ai entendu et appris bien trop de fois comment une erreur petite et inoffensive pouvait faire tomber un syst\u00e8me et co\u00fbter aux clients des millions de dollars en pertes, et pire, des vies humaines, comme ce fut le cas pour le Boeing 737 Max. Ces crashes tragiques comme celui du Boeing 737 Max arrivent beaucoup plus souvent qu'on ne le pense. Je suis certaine qu'un ing\u00e9nieur en assurance qualit\u00e9 ou un ing\u00e9nieur de test a trouv\u00e9 ce soi-disant petit bug et l'a partag\u00e9 avec l'\u00e9quipe, mais quelqu'un, d'une mani\u00e8re ou d'une autre, a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 qu'il n'\u00e9tait pas important de le corriger, et a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 que corriger ce petit bug aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 trop co\u00fbteux. De plus, les pilotes n'ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 inform\u00e9s du nouveau changement ni de l'impact que le changement aurait sur l'avion ; de plus, les pilotes n'ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9s sur le nouveau changement. Comment une compagnie a\u00e9rienne pourrait-elle autoriser un pilote \u00e0 transporter en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des passagers vers une destination sans que ce pilote ait la formation ad\u00e9quate ou appropri\u00e9e pour man\u0153uvrer l'avion, ou m\u00eame une connaissance de l'impact d'un changement effectu\u00e9 dans le syst\u00e8me logiciel ?<\/p>\n<p>Personnellement, la raison pour laquelle je me suis lanc\u00e9e dans le d\u00e9veloppement logiciel et la qualit\u00e9 \u00e9tait pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment pour aider \u00e0 livrer des logiciels qui ont un impact positif sur le monde. Chaque fois que j'entends parler d'une rupture dans le syst\u00e8me ou d'un d\u00e9faut dans un syst\u00e8me logiciel, je suis profond\u00e9ment d\u00e9\u00e7ue car une telle erreur aurait pu \u00eatre facilement \u00e9vit\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les semaines \u00e0 venir, on en saura plus sur le 737 Max lorsqu'un responsable de Boeing t\u00e9moignera devant le Congr\u00e8s. Il ne faut jamais sous-estimer l'importance de la qualit\u00e9 et le grand impact que les professionnels de l'assurance qualit\u00e9 ont sur la livraison logicielle. De plus, un logiciel ne devrait jamais \u00eatre livr\u00e9 aux utilisateurs finaux sans une formation pr\u00e9alable efficace et efficiente.
